Welcome to Hair Project
The aim of Hair Project is to expand young individuals’ talent within hairdressing to a superior level.
The Academy is designed to work in conjunction with salons. By providing quality high level practical experience alongside the City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 qualification. The assistant would visit Hair Project once a week on a day that works with the salon and be salon based for the other 4 days. The apprenticeship course lasts for 14 months, and is of benefit to all salons financially.
Although the first year of any hairdressers career will be spent getting to know the theoretical side of the industry, (NVQ L2). We work extensively on the practical side to get the best out of the assistants working on models and not manikin heads from the start. This gives them confidence on the salon floor and gives them the best possible start to their career.
This is where Hair Project differ from the regular college or academy, Our educators have extensive know how and knowledge of what it is like to run a salon. Which in turn we filter down to the students that pass through our doors, and eventually graduate from our diploma scheme and City & Guilds NVQ L2 combined.
